1 dead, 4 injured due to ‘Crising’—NDRRMC

MANILA, Philippines—Nearly 60,000 people have been affected in Northern Mindanao and Davao region due to tropical depression Crising, the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council said Tuesday night.

One person was recorded dead, identified as Francisco Digaynon of New Bataan in Compostela Valley, who drowned while crossing the Taytayan River.

Four were also recorded injured in Lanao del Norte.

As of latest, nearly 350 persons were taken to six evacuation centers in northern Mindanao and Davao.

Meanwhile, four roads and five bridges were affected in northern Mindanao, Davao and Caraga.

Water level in Pulangi, Bukidnon was at level 13, which was considered critical, the NDRRMC said.

About P38 million worth of funds and relief supplies were on standby in affected areas in field offices of the Department of Social Welfare and Development, the NDRRMC said.
