MANILA, Philippines—President Benigno Aquino III cancelled his trip to Dumaguete City Tuesday because of intense rain spawned by tropical depression “Crising.’’
Aquino was scheduled to inaugurate the Qualfon Building of the Link Sy IT Park in Barangay (village) Bantayan Tuesday morning and meet with local leaders at the Lamberto Macias Sports and Cultural Center later at around 2:30 p.m.
“Yes it’s been canceled due to weather conditions,’’ Brig. Gen. Ramon Dizon, chief of the Presidential Security Group, said in a text message.
Aquino, however, would push through with his trip to Talisay City, Cebu for Tuesday night’s meeting with local leaders, Malacañang spokeswoman Abigail Valte said, quoting Dizon.
