THE National Statistics Office in Central Visayas (NSO-7) called on all sample households to support the 2011 Family Health Survey conducted by the agency starting Aug. 1.

Engineer Ariel Florendo, NSO-7 regional director, said the survey is vital in the delivery of health services.

Florendo said the 2011 FHS Survey will provide government planners, policymakers and administrators with data that will be used as basis for health plans and programs.

Around 100 NSO-7 personnel composed of enumerators, supervisors and team leaders will visit barangays and enumeration areas to interview all female members of the household aged 15 to 49 years old.

Florendo appealed to sample households to share their precious time for the interview that will only take about an hour. The NSO assures that all information gathered from the survey will be dealt with confidentiality.
