Cynthia Villar stands by former rivals in Team PNoy ‘to continue legislative work’

FORMER  Las Piñas representative Cynthia Villar doesn’t mind standing in the Liberal Party stage, just to continue her legislative work in the Senate.

“I want to share my experience in the local level and implement them in the national level. I want to pursue my advocacies in the Senate,” Villar, wife of 2010 presidential candidate, Sen. Manny Villar said in a press release.

She listed among her landmark pieces of legislation the Magna Carta of Women, anti-trafficking of women and children, anti-violence against women, protection of children in the workplace, juvenile justice system and the Senior Citizens Act. She served as Las Piñas representative from 2001 to 2010.
