Singwangcha gets big break
MARCO Singwangcha of the RWS Gym of Cebu could be just two fights away from getting a trip to Las Vegas. But first, Marco needs to beat veteran Nelson Llanos of Butuan City this Sunday in Sibonga, Cebu for the PBF bantamweight title.
Wakee Salud has announced that if Marco wins, he will be fighting for the Philippine bantamweight title against champion Rey Perez in Iligan City on Sept. 16, 2011.
This will be a homecoming fight for the slugger from Iligan formerly known as Marco Demecillo (12W- 0L-1D 9 KOs). Demecillo fights under the surname Singwangcha as homage to his sponsor, Thai promoter Naris Singwancha.
If Marco wins, Salud will introduce him to Manny Pacquiao’s MP Promotions for a fight in the US. He could be in the undercard or fight on the eve of the Pacquiao-Juan Manuel Marquez duel.
Demecillo Singwangcha went the full 10 rounds against Rex Olisa of the Aljoe Jaro stable last June in Tuburan, Cebu after knocking out his last four opponents. Llanos (22W– 25 L-3D 5KOs) has lost to world ranked fighters like Denver Cuello, Edrin Dapudong and Roli Gasca. His last big win was against Juanito Rubillar last December by unanimous decision.
Also penned to see action in Sibonga are Noel “Dinamita” Adelmita (15W-2L 4 KOs) of Bohol and the RWS Gym vs. T.I. Yamagata Sentillas (10W – 7 L 7 KOs); Sandoval Singwangcha vs. Marlo Talili, Lobert Bayo vs. Erwin Pulvera, Jayson Singwangcha vs. Junel Busano and Sehayahei Llanera Singwangcha vs. Honey Boy Vidad of Siquijor.
