3R Audio recovers with win vs Fil-Ann

3R AUDIO ’98 bounced back in a huge way as they trounced the Fil-Ann 2009, 72-63, in the Cebu Eastern College Alumni Basketball Association’s 12th Dr. Chen Lieh Fu Memorial Cup last Thursday night at the City Sports Club-Cebu gym.

After a sub-par game in their last outing, spitfire guard Rex Millan sizzled with 19 points, four assists, two steals and two rebounds to lead the way.

Erick Andrew So chipped in 17 points and six rebounds for Class ’98, which surged ahead, thanks to a 36-21 run in the middle periods.

Paul Timothy So added 13 points, seven rebounds and seven assists for Class ’98, while Elvis Evangelista also added 13 points on top of six rebounds as they evened their win-loss record to 4-4. Fil-Ann dropped to a 1-5 record.

FEATURED STORIES

In the main game, the Dimsum Frito 2003 got stellar games from Winston Tan and Joey Catipay to take down Young Builders ’91, 55-49, and stay unbeaten after three games.

Tan finished with 16 points, four rebounds and three assists, while Catipay banged in 14 markers on top of 11 rebounds and three steals for Class 2003.
