Cardinal Tagle speaks at Gerry Roxas forum
His Eminence Luis Antonio G. Cardinal Tagle, a Gerry Roxas Leadership Awardee from St. Andrew’s School in Parañaque City (Class of 1973) will be the guest of honor of this year’s Leaders’ Forum of the Gerry Roxas Leadership Awardees (GRLA) on Sunday at Gateway Mall, Araneta Center, Quezon City.
GRLA is a nonprofit group organized by the awardees themselves, supported by the Gerry Roxas Foundation. The award is one of the most prestigious merit-based awards given to deserving high school students in the Philippines.
For over four decades now, Gerry Roxas Foundation has partnered with over 1,000 schools nationwide to recognize exemplary graduating high school students. The GRLA has an active network of about 52,000 leaders nationwide, working together in establishing a community of leaders who are passionate and capable of contributing to Philippine development, said lawyer Nic Conti, GRLA president.
The Leaders’ Forum is a yearly event featuring GRLAs who have made a mark in their respective fields and in society. The past forums featured Comelec Commissioner Grace Padaca and SMART Communications public relations executive Ramon Isberto. For details, call Cholo Kawada, GRLA secretary, at 0917-8824656.
