SWAT-CEBU CITY TO HAVE NEW OFFICE
THE Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT)-Cebu City will soon have a new office.
Senior Supt. Mariano Natu-el Jr., chief of the Cebu City Police Office (CCPO), the new office will be built on a vacant lot at the back of CCPO which is being used as a parking space for seized vehicles.
Natu-el said he instructed Supt. Arnel Banzon, chief of SWAT, to submit a building plan.
Natu-el said there is also a plan to repair the building which houses the offices of homicide section, finance section, records section, warrants section and Mobile Patrol Group.
The building was declared dilapidated and a fire hazard during the Annual General Inspection.

POLICE arrested a man and seized packs of suspected shabu worth P75,000 in a buy-bust operation in barangay Dita, Cebu City.
Police said Tomas Borbon Ardiente sold a pack of shabu weighing five grams to a poseur buyer past 7 a.m. Monday.
Supt. Rodolfo Albotra, Jr., chief of the Cebu Provincial Police Office-Provincial Intelligence Branch (CPPO-PIB), said the transaction was supposed to be done in barangay Pulpogan, Consolacion town but it was transferred to barangay Dita.
Albotra said Ardeinte’s alleged cohort, Ruel Tumulak, eluded arrest as he left the area before the sale was consummated.
Albotra said Tumulak was the one who supplied Ardiente with the drugs.
Tumulak is allegedly a level two drug pusher who can dispose of more than 200 grams of shabu a week. Ardiente is capable of selling 25 grams of shabu per week, Albotra said.
In barangay Paknaan, Mandaue City, two men were arrested for allegedly selling drugs on on Monday night.
Gandy Ornopia, 35, and Jaime Repillo, 48, are detained at the Basak police station facing drug charges.
Senior Insp. Wilson Abot, chief of Basak police, said they monitored the two men for two weeks before a buy-but was made against them.
Police said the two were arrested after the sold a pack of shabu worth P250 to a poseur-buyer.
Police said five packs of suspected shabu were seized from Ornopi.
