WBO International flyweight champion Milan ‘El Metodico’ Melindo will face Indonesia’s Tommy Seran on April 6 in Macau. This will be part of the blockbuster fight card promoted by Top Rank and headlined by the WBA/WBO flyweight title fight between Brian ‘The Hawaiian Punch’ Viloria and challenger Juan Francisco Estrada of Mexico.
The unbeaten Melindo (28W-0L, 11 KOs), who fights out of of the ALA gym, is the mandatory challenger to Viloria’s WBO crown. His last fight was a majority decision win against Jean Piero Perez last September at the Waterfront Hotel.
Seran (23W-1L, 14 KOs) has beaten Filpino boxers Jayson Rotoni, Mating Kilakil, Marzon Cabilla and Fernando Ocon. He is the reigning WBO Asia-Pacific jr. flyweight champion, winning the title last year by stopping Cabilla in three rounds.
