Abusive ambulances

06:35 PM August 03, 2011

Dear Inquirer,

I live in the south and have been observing the abusive use of “wang wang” (sirens), among others, by ambulances every morning during rush hour heading to Makati. I specifically observed this when an ambulance would sound their horns but would turn them off when on the Skyway. Many of these are from Laguna and Batangas where I see no reason for them to blare their sirens if there are hospitals in Muntinlupa and Paranaque. I have been observing this for the past few years and apparently this has remained unchecked. As a taxpayer, I see this as a blatant abuse of taxpayer’s money.

Can someone please investigate this? Thank you.
