Relatives asked Lapu cop chief to help Korean

RELATIVES of the Korean, who is the suspect in the killing last Sunday of a Filipina in a Lapu-Lapu City hotel, are asking the police that he be transferred to another hospital in Cebu City.

The mother and the younger brother of Hyun Chul Hwang, who is comatose in a Lapu-Lapu City hospital, asked Lapu-Lapu City Police Chief Rey Lyndon Lawas for help to transfer Hyun to a hospital with better facilities in Cebu City yesterday afternoon.

Lawas said since the case was still in their custody and  case against Hyun hadn’t been filed yet, he would allow the transfer provided Hyun would be escorted and guarded by the police in the hospital.

Hyun  is the suspect in the killing of Whenvy Noel, 21, of barangay Kalawisan, Lapu-Lapu City.

According to PO3 Lydo Pinos of the Lapu-Lapu City Police, that Noel’s death certificate showed that she died of asphyxia or strangulation.
