A BUSINESSMAN who lost his Hyundai Starex van to thieves last Saturday is calling for the creation of a task force to solve the car theft cases in Metro Cebu.
Danilo Teves said that the police should take the car theft incidents seriously especially since the van was the eighth van stolen this year.
Teves parked his vehicle outside his house in a barangay Subangdaku subdivision when it was stolen.
Chief Insp. Michael Anthony Bastes, chief of Investigation and Detection Management Branch (IDMB) in Mandaue City Police, said that they were pursuing leads in the carnapping incidents. /Reporter Jucell Marie P Cuyos
