There’s no stopping the University of San Carlos (USC) and the University of the Visayas (UV) as they each won their third straight game in the 13-under division of the ThreeSixty Pharmacy Cup 2013 last Sunday at two separate venues.
USC downed the Cebu Eastern College (CEC), 48-32, in a game that was part of the highlights of the Family Day Celebration at the USC South campus. UV, on the other hand, easily beat the University of San Jose-Recoletos, 43-26, at the Sacred Heart School-Ateneo de Cebu basketball courts along Mango Avenue.
USC South took advantage of its familiarity of the home floor as it beat USJ-R, 17-7, in the 10-under class while USC South B upended St. Benedict, 64-35, in the 13-under Division B class.
In other games at SHS-AdC, guest team CEC topped USC North, 25-15, in the 10-under classwhile in the 16-under Division A, CEC beat Abellana National School, 72-44. Southwestern University also scored its first win via a 55-26 win over USJR-B.
UV and USC now lead the pack in the Under 13 Division A with 3-0 (win-loss) records, followed by SHS-AdC A (2-0), CEC (0-2), SHS-AdC B (0-2) and USJR-A (0-3). The Under 10 age group is led by guest team CEC (3-0), followed by USC North (2-1), USJR-A (1-1), SHS-AdC (1-1), USC South (1-2) and USJR-B (0-3).
The ThreeSixty Pharmacy Cup 2013 is the flagship tournament of the Cebu Youth Basketball League’s Season 6. A total of 50 teams have signed up, spread over four age groups: Under 10, 13, 16 and 19.
