Ex-con shot dead while surfing the web

/ 12:29 AM February 12, 2013

An ex-convict who had been in and out of prison for various crimes was shot dead on Sunday evening while using a pay-per-minute computer at a retail store in Malabon City.

Police identified the victim as Angelo Figueroa alias Wafu, 34 and a resident of Area 3 in Dagat-Dagatan.

Figueroa was using a “Piso Net” computer, which allows users to surf the Internet for several minutes if they drop a one-peso coin, at a nearby retail store when a man wearing a black motorcycle helmet and red jacket approached him from behind.

Witnesses claimed that the man then told Figueroa: “(Wafu, sorry, but you hurt my child)” before he took out a gun and shot the victim in the back of the head, killing him on the spot.
