MANILA, Philippines – Whistleblower Rodolfo “Jun” Lozada surrendered himself to the National Headquarters of the Philippine National Police in Quezon City Monday morning, a radio report said.

Lozada, the report said,  turned himself in to authorities at PNP’s Criminal Investigation and Detection Group at Camp Crame in connection with a graft case filed against him at the Sandiganbayan.

The case stemmed from the leasehold rights over public lands  that  he allegedly granted  to his brother and  a private firm when he was still the president of Philippine Forest Corp. in 2007.

Sandiganbayan had ordered the arrest of Lozada, who exposed the anomalies in the NBN-ZTE deal.

Police Senior Superintendent Keith Ernald Singian, deputy director for operations of CIDG, was quoted as saying that Lozada may bail himself out anytime.
