Hiroshi FC teams down rivals in Aboitiz football

Hiroshi FC had a successful day yesterday after its two teams surpassed their opponents in the 15th Aboitiz Football Cup at the Aboitiz Sports Field in Subangdaku, Mandaue City.

In the 38 Above, Hiroshi FC closed its gap with league leader ERCO after outsmarting Queen City United (QCU), 3-1. In the Men’s Open, Hiroshi routed University of San Jose Recoletos (USJR) Alumni, 8-1.

Hiroshi now shares the same points nine points with ERCO in the 38-Above division. However, Hiroshi is still in second place with ERCO having just a one-point advantage over Hiroshi in goal difference.

In the Men’s Open bracket D, Hiroshi FC took over the top spot with a win over USJR Alumni.

With the win, Hiroshi FC now totes nine points equivalent to three wins in as many matches.

In other Men’s Open matches, Don Bosco United (DBU) FC-A had a no sweat 2-0 win over Toledo Harumi, which failed to show up for the match.

BRO Nationals, meanwhile, squeaked past Don Bosco (DB) Magone, 1-0.
