Man killed in Badian town

A 59-YEAR-OLD man was shot dead by an unidentified assailant in barangay Bugas, Badian town, southern Cebu.

Onel Padilla, a resident of barangay Banhigan, sustained multiple gunshot wounds in the body. He was brought to the nearest hospital but was declared dead by the attending physician.

Police said the victim was walking along the road past 8 p.m. last Friday when he was waylaid.

Relatives told police that the victim was mentally unstable, Insp. Reyco Romaguera of Badian police said.

Recovered from the crime scene were three empty shells of a .45 caliber pistol and nine empty shells of a 9mm caliber pistol. /Correspondent Joy Cherry S. Quito
