Classes were suspended in many parts of Region III Tuesday due to heavy rains brought by the southwest monsoon currently affecting Luzon which was enhanced by a low pressure area southwest of Sinait, Ilocos Sur.

“We remind the local authorities (LGUs, DepEd officials, and principals) that they may suspend classes if the situation warrants it. Parents, of course, can decide whether to send their children to school or not,” DepEd said.
