THE LETRAN Knights will have to make do in the upcoming 89th season of the NCAA without their star player, Kevin Louie Alas.
This after the hotshot guard announced yesterday that he would not be coming back to play out his final year of eligibility.
According to a report that was posted on Spin.ph, the Mythical Five guard informed school management yesterday afternoon that he would instead be focusing his energies on playing for the national team.
At the same time, he added that his departure would give other up-and-coming players on the Knights squad a chance to shine.
“Nagpaalam na po ako sa Letran,” said Alas in the report. “Nagpaalam na ako to focus sa Gilas and to give way sa mga recruits like (Rey) Nambatac para makuha nila,” added Alas.
