UNA has silent supporters from LP, says spokesman

MANILA, Philippines –The United Nationalist Alliance (UNA) admitted it has silent supporters from the ruling Liberal Party, a report from Radyo Inquirer 990AM said early Thursday.

The report, quoting UNA spokesman Tobby Tiangco, said that there were pillars from incumbent officials who vowed support for UNA candidates.

Members of Liberal Party from the provinces were dismayed by the decision to only support Team Pnoy’s candidates, Tiangco added.

Meanwhile, UNA recognizes Quezon City Representative Boyet Banal for his vocal support for the senatorial bid of Joseph Victor “JV” Ejercito.

UNA was a result of the merger of Partido ng Demokratikong Pilipino- Lakas ng Bayan (PDP-Laban) of Vice President Jejomar Binay and Partido ng Masang Pilipino (PMP) of former president Joseph Ejercito-Estrada.  John Daryl Dimalanta
