Free dental care on wheels

In line with its corporate social responsibility, the Juanito I. King Foundation Inc. (JIKFI), through its mobile dental van project, started the year with a series of dental missions last month.

In partnership with the Rise Above Foundation, JIKFI provided free dental services to the Badjaos in barangay Alaska Mambaling and residents of barangay Sapangdaku, Guadalupe, all in Cebu City.

More than 700 beneficiaries availed of dental procedures such as restoration, tooth extraction and oral prophylaxis.

The mobile dental van project has been catering to the more than 21,000 beneficiaries annually since 2003.

This year, the JIKFI has strengthened its capacity to further serve the community by acquiring a second dental van.

With this accomplishment, the foundation is looking forward to providing more free dental services.

JIKFI is now accepting requests for dental missions within Cebu.
