Class ‘95 continues winning run in CECABA

NEW MILLENIUM Hardware ’95 continued its remarkable winning run as it got solid numbers from Donald Anthong Ting, Dean Dy Teves and Raymond Gollon to defeat PTT 2005, 59-52, in the Cebu Eastern College Alumni Basketball Association’s (CECABA) 12th Dr. Chen Lieh Fu Memorial Cup last Tuesday night at the City Sports Club-Cebu gym.

Ting scored 21 points on top of five steals and three assists, Dy Teves chipped in 15 points, four rebounds, four blocks and two assists, while Gollon netted 13 points on top of eight rebounds, two assists and two steals as Class’95 notched its fifth straight win in as many games.

The loss was Class 2005’s third in a row.

In the other game, Stanley Gaw reigned down low as he got 15 points and 16 rebounds to power Las Vegas KTV-M16Disco ’94 to a 44-39 win over Argentina Corned Bee ’84/87/90.

Former CDC Stallion (now CDU) Wellington Yu tossed in 13 markers on top of eight rebounds, two assists and two steals for Class ’94, which bettered its win-loss record to 4-1 while dealing Class ’84/87/90 its third defeat in a row. /Correspondent Jonas Panerio
