THE SAN Sebastian Stags will try to continue on their catch-up game with the defending champions San Beda Red Lions as they gun for a share of the lead when they face off against the Emilio Aguinaldo College Generals today in the 87th NCAA basketball tournament at the Arena in San Juan City.

FEATURED STORIES

The Stags currently tote a 5-0 (win-loss) record and are in pursuit of the Red Lions, who improved to 6-0, after getting past  Letran, 77-62, last Monday.

The Stags will once again rely heavily on Calvin  Abueva, Ronald Pascual and center Ian Sangalang.

The Generals, on the other hand, are raring to get back on the winning track after they got blasted by the Red Lions, 103-62, last week.

The loss sent them below .500 for the first time this season as they now have a 2-3 record.

The main game will see two sub-par teams duke it out with the St. Benilde Blazers, who are at 2-4, take on the Jose Rizal University Heavy Bombers, who are at 2-3. /Correspondent Jonas Panerio
