Rama undergoes checkup, updates Jack’s status
ASIDE from completing a physical checkup, Cebu City Mayor Michael Rama is also checking on the overall health of his slate ahead of the March 29 campaign schedule.
While results of his checkup have yet to be disclosed, Rama said he’s been checking up on former councilor Sylvan Jakosalem who was again admitted to the Chong Hua hospital after recovery from surgery.
Rama said Jakosalem will undergo skin grafting months after he underwent surgery to remove parasites in his brain. While he is recovering, Rama said Jakosalem remains an official candidate of Team Rama.
He is confident that Jakosalem, also chairman of the Cebu City Integrated Traffic Operations Management (Citom), will be fit when the campaign starts on March 29.
An option, he said, is to field another Jakosalem relative as a replacement.
Jakosalem’s wife, Sharon, earlier ruled out being a replacement, saying she’s too busy caring for the family. He also advised the rest of his slate to undergo physical checkup.
“I have been telling them even before that they have to be checked because the campaigning is rigorous,” he said. Chief of Reporters Doris C. Bongcac
