Proceeds of this year’s SM2SM Run will benefit the Cebu City Task Force on Street Children and Cebu Newspaper Workers Foundation Inc. (Cenewof).
The running event on Feb. 24 at the Northwing of SM City Cebu will feature 3K, 6K, 12K, and 21K categories.
Couples may join the 12K and 21K Radisson Blu Hotel couples category.
All finishers in the 12K and 21K categories will receive a Suarez & Son’s finisher’s medal.
The run will start and end in SM City Cebu, passing through the South Road Properties going to the Chapel of San Pedro Calungsod and to SM Seaside City Cebu, the newest project of SM Prime Holdings Inc. in Cebu.
Chaired by Cebu City Councilor Margot Osmeña, the task force is an umbrella organization of 27 child caring member agencies in Cebu City.
The task force is now embarking on a Youth Career Development Program designed to improve the lives of the less-fortunate youth.
Last year, SM City Cebu turned over P200,000 to Cebu City Task Force on Street Children during the awarding ceremony at the Northwing.
Cenewof, a registered private-sector organization, was established in 1980 by Cebu’s journalists, lawyer Pachico Seares and Concepcion Gantuangco Briones to enhance the standards of journalism, promote professionalism and ensure the welfare of workers in the print media industry.
The registration fee is at P750 for 21K, P450 for 12K, and P350 for 6K and 3K.
Registration fees for 21K couples run is at P750 per person and P450 per person in the 12K couples category.
Registration is ongoing until Feb. 22 at the first level of The Northwing (near F&X and Accessories), upper ground floor near National Bookstore, and at the atrium in SM City Consolacion.
