‘PRO-7 practices now PNP priority programs’

THE Police Integrated Patrol System is one of the practices adopted as a priority program which was one of the desk practices of the Police Regional Office in Central Visayas (PRO-7).

Chief Supt. Marcelo Garbo Jr., PRO-7 chief, said this was just one of the practices that his office had contributed to the police organization.

The system involves more police visibility in the community such as having more checkpoints to prevent crime in the region.

Garbo, however, said that they had been improving their operations in maintaining peace and order despite the lack of equipment and personnel.

“We are identifying our facilities which need improvement. Our objective here is to improve the morale and welfare of our people. We’d like to project to the community that we have a good police force here,” Garbo said.

He also said that they would conduct enhancement courses, intelligence and investigation seminars to the 8,500 police personnel in the province.

Yesterday, some Cebu City Police Office personnel were found to have unshined shoes and buckle and were given demerits during the Annual General Inspection inspectors.
