UV routs Thumbs Up 1
THE UNIVERSITY of the Visayas continued its dominant form in the Cebu Elite Basketball League as it walloped Thumbs Up 1, 93-66, in the games in the 16-under division that were held last Sunday at the University of San Carlos North campus along Mango Avenue.
The three teams of the homecourt-toting USC North also displayed their familiarity of the playing field which they used to their advantage in winning their respective matches in the same division.
USC North 1 destroyed Living Word Christian Learning Center, 60-34, while USC North 2 won over Don Bosco 3, 64-43. USC North 3 was also victorious over Bradford, 55-39.
In the 13-under games, USC North eked past UV, 49-45, while ALC beat Don Bosco 2, 51-17. USC South also annihilated LWCLC, 56-22. In the lone game of the 10-under division, USC South beat Sacred Heart School-Ateneo de Cebu, 37-33. /Correspondent Jonas Panerio
