First, it was e-graduation. Now, it’s e-prom.
Thanks to live streaming, parents of the students of Taguig’s 12 public high schools can now chaperone their children on prom night.
Through e-prom, parents can follow their children’s activities as they attend the junior-senior prom—from the first dance, to the selection of the prom king and queen up until the last dance. All they have to do is access the Facebook page of the Taguig City government at www.facebook.com/ilovetaguig.
A program of Mayor Laarni Cayetano, the program is a follow-up to the e-graduation project which targets parents who cannot attend their children’s commencement exercises in person.
According to Taguig-Pateros education department administrator George Tizon, e-prom aims to connect families and let parents experience one of the more significant moments in their children’s high school life.
