MANILA, Philippines—Chief Justice Maria Lourdes Sereno ordered the transfer of the Supreme Court’s Public Information Office from its third floor residence to a temporary space on the 6th floor so that the space can be used as the new office of Associate Justice Marvic Leonen.

The Building Administrator, Atty. Romeo M. Salazar allowed the PIO to relocate to the 6th floor while its permanent office at the 5th floor of the SC-CA Building (Court of Appeals) is undergoing repairs.

“Considering the unique needs of the SC-PIO, it was determined that some quick and minor repair, carpentry and repainting work is needed; it is estimated to take two weeks from procurement of the materials to complete the works,” high court’s acting information chief Atty. Gleo Guerra said in her letter to Sereno dated Jan. 28.

“Because of the urgency for Justice Leonen’s Chambers to have the privacy and space it requires, we have made arrangements to temporarily house the PIO at the 6th floor of the SC Annex Building,” Guerra further stated.
