TWO men allegedly involved in several robbery cases in Talisay City were arrested by police at dawn yesterday.
Police arrested Shundave Villarosa, 30, and Jose Rolando Coronel, 40, shortly after they robbed a gasoline station in barangay Lawaan III.
Villarosa was also known as Shundave Oyon-Oyon and Jap-Jap, police said.
Police said the two men robbed a gas station owned by Rex Amores.
Police said the suspects broke the glass door of the gas station and pointed guns at cashier Pani Matchitar.
Out of fear, Matchitar was forced to hand over a cash box containing part of the gas station’s earnings worth P1,800, Insp. Margienett Yosores of the Talisay City police said.
Police said the incident was captured by the gas station’s security cameras.
In a follow-up operation, police raided to the apartment of Ehdah Lamano, girlfriend of Villarosa.
The suspects were in the apartment when police arrived.
Police said it took at least two hours before the two suspects were convinced to surrender.
Yosores said they recovered the cash box with only P805 cash remaining.
Recovered from Villarosa were a .357 caliber revolver with four bullets and a big pack of suspected shabu.
Yosores asked robbery victims to go to the police station to identify the two men./CORRESPONDENT GABRIEL C. BONJOC
