Woman’s body found floating in creek

MANILA, Philippines — The body of a still unidentified woman was found floating in the Talayan Creek in Quezon City Tuesday morning, police said.

Senior Police Officer 2 Manuel Galang of Quezon City Police District’s Station 1 said that their investigators had responded to information of the body of a woman found floating in the creek at Talayan Riverside in Barangay (village) Talayan, Quezon City.

A 17-year-old had informed barangay officers that he found the dead woman, said Galang, adding that she was described by their investigators to be around 50 to 55 years of age, five feet in height, and of fair complexion.

The woman, clad in a white t-shirt and underwear, had been found floating face-down in the creek.

Galang said that their Scene of the Crime Operatives have processed the area and that the case has been turned over to the QCPD’s Criminal Investigation and Detection Unit.
