House, Senate ratify K to 12 program

MANILA, Philippines — The House of Representatives and the Senate on Wednesday ratified the bicameral conference committee report on the bill institutionalizing the government’s K to 12 program.

The lower chamber approved the reconciled version on Senate Bill 8286 and House Bill 6643 which seek to add two years to basic education system.

Once enacted, this will be the enabling law for the K to 12 program which the government has earlier implemented. With a report from Maila Ager
