New CIDG-7 director takes over
THE Criminal Investigation and Detection Group in Central Visayas (CIDG-7) has a new chief in Senior Supt. Eddie Binigay, who took over the position yesterday.
Binigay replaced Senior Supt. Jose Pante, former Eastern Visayas CIDG chief who was reassigned as head of the CIDG-National Capital Region.
Binigay has resident in Mandaue City but he is native in Negros Occidental.
He is a graduate of Philippine Military Academy (PMA) batch ‘86 and a classmate of former Cebu City police director Ramon Melvin Buenafe.

Binigay, who met the CIDG-7 personnel yesterday ordered them to focus on the concerns of Regional Director Marcelo Garbo especially in the campaign against illegal drugs and illegal gambling.

Before he met the CIDG-7 personnel, Binigay made a courtesy call to Garbo at Camp Sergio Osmena at Osmena Boulevard.
