A warehouse security guard in the downtown area was shot dead in his post by two suspects who asked him for directions on Sunday.

Baldado told the suspects Ericson Manait, 24, and Juanito Lauza, 24, of Bato, Ermita, he was not familiar of the place. The suspects then got irked.
Manait then pulled a gun and shot the victim. They fled toward the Carbon market area.
The suspects were arrested in a follow-up operation.
PO3 Dario Manatad, homicide investigator, said, “It’s like they were just having a power trip.”
A .357 revolver and bullets were recovered from Manait’s possession.
