MANILA, Philippines—A Valenzuela policeman was nabbed in Manila on Saturday for threatening a gas station attendant with a gun.
SPO2 Rajean Apolinar Mirando, assigned at the warrant and subpoena section of Valenzuela police station, was arrested at 2:55 p.m. Friday at a gas station on Rizal Avenue corner Teodoro Street in
Tondo, Manila, after threatening Jun Velardo with his 9-mm service pistol.
According to investigations conducted by SPO1 James Poso and PO3 Gilbert Isole, Mirando went to the gas station to have his owner-type jeep refueled but Velardo mistakenly filled it with diesel.
The two have agreed to just drain out the diesel and return the payment. Mirando lost his cool, however, when he asked for a replacement of his reserve fuel and Velardo refused, prompting another
attendant to call the police.
Mirando, detained at the Manila Police District General Assignment Section, is facing a case of grave threat and violation of the election gun ban.
