NBI investigates Ouano death

THE National Bureau of Investigation in Central Visayas (NBI-7) started its probe on the death of Mandaue City businessman Antonio Ouano.

In an interview, NBI-7 Assistant Director Lauro Reyes said two agents are assigned to investigate, identify and file appropriate charges against the culprits.

They are NBI-7 Supervising Agent Rennan Augutus Oliva and NBI-7 Agent Bernard dela Cruz.

The NBI-7 will coordinate with the Philippine National Police in the investigation.

“We just joined in the probe. We are still investigating,” Reyes said.

The family of the slain victim last week sought the assistance of the NBI-7 to investigate the death of Ouano.

Last July 22, Antonio was shot dead by a motorcycle-riding gunman along Mantawi Drive in the North Reclamation Area.

He came from mediation proceedings in a Mandaue City court and was on his way to another court hearing in barangay Centro, Mandaue.

Antonio was chairman of the board of Ernesto C. Ouano (ECO) Development and Management Corp and operated the family-owned Ouano Wharf.  Reporter Ador Vincent S. Mayol
