Chinese falls in QC ‘shabu’ bust
A Chinese national was arrested in a buy-bust operation Friday afternoon in Quezon City for allegedly peddling 100 grams of suspected “shabu.”
Dison “Huang” Kua, 39, was arrested in front of a McDonald’s branch at the corner of Roces Avenue and Tomas Morato Street by an antinarcotics team from the Quezon City Police District.
Senior Insp. Roberto Razon said Kua, a resident of Ongpin Street, Manila, was found with a medium-sized ziplock plastic bag containing 100 grams of a powdery substance believed to be shabu.
Kua was arrested in a buy-bust operation around 4 p.m. Friday, when poseur buyers arranged a meeting to buy P400,000 worth of shabu.
The QCPD’s District Anti-Illegal Drugs (DAID) unit learned about Kua’s operations from a tipster who helped set up a meeting with the suspect.
Kua was detained at a DAID jail facility and faces charges for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
