MCWD celebrates 38 years

THE Metropolitan Cebu Water District will turn 38 years old on Feb. 1.

With the theme “Working as one for the 60/80 vision,” the water district targets to achieve 60/80 in 2020, which means serving 60 percent of the total domestic demand and 80 percent of the commercial demand within its franchise area.

This year, two employees will be recognized for their 35 years of loyalty and support to the water district.

They are Arsenio Guanzon, division manager of the Construction Department, and Wilfredo Flores of the Pipelines Maintenance Department.

FEATURED STORIES

Employees who have been in the service for 30 years, 25 years, 20 years, 15 years, 10 years and five years as well as those who were never tardy in 2012 will also be given recognition.

The anniversary celebration will start with a Mass at the MCWD chapel at 8 a.m. A program will be held at 3 p.m. at the social hall located on the eighth floor of the MCWD main building.
