07:14 AM January 26, 2013

THE Charlie Reyes-mentored Team Blessel nipped MacMae, 78-72, Friday night to rule the Pasil Sinulog Cup-2013 Open basketball tournament.

The game was close all throughout with Blessel leading by a single-digit including a, 52-45 advantage at the end of the third quarter.

However, MacMae sizzled in the fourth behind former PBA standout Jimwell Torreon who tied the count at 69-all with a fast-driving lay-up with 2:50 remaining. But former UC Webmaster Opie Abellana teamed up with Michael Reyes and Glad Ygay in delivering crucial points for Blessel’s six-point victory.
