MANILA, Philippines — Eastern Visayas will continue to experience moderate to heavy rains and was alerted against flashfloods and landslides due to a diffused tail-end of a cold front, the state weather bureau said Friday.
“Eastern Visayas will experience cloudy skies with moderate to heavy rainshowers and thunderstorms which may trigger flashfloods and landslides,” the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said.
The rest of Visayas and Mindanao will be cloudy with light to moderate rainshowers and thunderstorms.
Meanwhile, Luzon will continue to experience cold weather with occasional rains due to a prevailing northeast monsoon.
Bicol Region, Cagayan Valley and the provinces of Aurora and Quezon will be cloudy with light rains. Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon will have partly cloudy skies with brief light rains.
Moderate to strong winds blowing from the northeast will prevail throughout the archipelago and the coastal waters will be moderate to rough, Pagasa said.
