Brrr…Is the weather too cold for you?

MANILA, Philippines – Temperature in Metro Manila hit its lowest of the year on Thursday, the state weather bureau said.

The Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said a temperature of 18.1 degrees Celsius was recorded at 5:55 a.m. at the Science Garden in Quezon City.

This new record beat Monday’s  18.8 degrees Celsius in Metro Manila.

Baguio, meanwhile, dipped to 10.0 degrees Celsius on Thursday morning. But its coldest temperature of the year was on January 18 at 9.5 degrees Celsius.

Pagasa said the cold weather is attributed to the northeast monsoon and will continue until February.
