Singapore accepts scholarship applications

THE Singapore Embassy is accepting applications for college scholarship for the next school year.

The scholarship is awarded by the Singapore government to Filipino citizens with excellent academic records and a good command of English.

This scholarship is tenable at the National University of Singapore, the Nanyang Technological University and the Singapore Management University. Except for medicine, dentistry, architecture and law, all other disciplines are open for application.

The scholarship covers full tuition fees, return airfare, a living allowance of S$4,300 (P142,000) per annum and an accommodation allowance.

Scholars are selected based on academic merit, leadership qualities and their potential to contribute to the Philippines development.

Applicants must be in their first or second year college or graduating high school students.

Scholarship application forms are available at the Singapore Embassy or may be downloaded from website www.mfa.gov.sg/scp.

Completed application forms must be submitted to the Singapore Embassy in Manila on or before Feb. 5.
