The rest of Mindanao will have light to moderate rainshowers or thunderstorms, the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said.
The rains the past few days have affected about 27,000 persons and has so far left three people dead in Misamis Oriental and Tagum City, the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council said as of Monday afternoon.
Hardest hit once more was Cateel in Davao Oriental, an area devastated by Typhoon “Pablo” (international name Bopha) last December. Nearly 16,000 were pre-emptively evacuated in Cateel alone.
Meanwhile, the northeast monsoon will prevail in Luzon and Visayas, and will bring cloudy skies with occasional light to moderate rains ins Eastern Visayas, Bicol region, Cagayan Valley and the provinces of Aurora and Quezon, Pagasa said.
Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy skies with brief light rains.
A temperature of 18.8 degrees Celsius was recorded at 6 a.m. Monday at Pagasa Science Garden, the coldest so far this year. Last week, the weather also went at 18.8 degrees Celsius as recorded at Ninoy Aquino International Airport.
Moderate to strong winds blowing from the northeast will prevail throughout the archipelago and the coastal waters will be moderate to rough.
