‘Oplan Katok next’

WITH the Sinulog festivities over, police are focusing on implementing the gun ban in line with the mid-term election this May.

Chief Supt. Marcelo Garbo, PRO-7 chief, said that they would also focus on Oplan Katok or the drive against loose firearms.

“Continuous ang effort natin sa Oplan-Katok. We are making headway sa ating Oplan Katok citing that among the cities in the region Cebu policemen ‘have to double time’” Garbo said.

The Oplan-Katok is an activity of the Phillippine National Police (PNP) where police make personal visits at the houses of the residents with gun licenses. /Correspondent Tweeny M. Malinao
