Heartbreak kid

A teenager survived after he tried to kill himself by stabbing his throat with a kitchen knife in barangay Pagsabungan in Mandaue City.

Police said the bloodied teenager was found lying on the floor by his landlady and rushed to the hospital for treatment.

The teenager was recuperating at the hospital.

A 58-YEAR-OLD barangay tanod was found dead inside his house in La Purisima, barangay Guizo, Mandaue City, yesterday morning.

Aurelio Bentulan, a widower, was found lifeless by his neighbor.

He was rushed to the hospital for treatment but doctors declared him dead on arrival.

Police investigation showed that there was no foul play in Bentulan’s death.

Tresspassing

An 18-year-old man was arrested for trespassing after he was caught inside an apartment in barangay Duljo-Fatima, Cebu City.

Residents turned over to barangay tanods Cithem Daño-Alfonso of barangay Ibo, Lapu-Lapu City after one of the apartment boarders saw him and called for help at about 1 p.m. yesterday.

Alfonzo, however, said that he was there only to give a pair of shoes to a friend.
