Lacson will wait for Santiago to get well before filing raps
MANILA, Philippines – Senator Panfilo Lacson has wished Senator Miriam Defensor Santiago to get well soon so he could file charges against her.
“She is currently sick. I wish for her to get well soon so I can already press charges against her,” Lacson told reporters Monday.
Lacson and Santiago have been embroiled in a word war recently over the cash gifts given to senators by Senate President Juan Ponce Enrile December last year
“Doctors have said that her condition was precarious; we don’t want to add to her illness,” Lacson said.
Santiago has given media copies of her letter requesting to go on sick leave.
