MAN KILLED BY NEIGHBOR
A 27-YEAR-OLD man was fatally stabbed by his neighbor in barangay Alang-Alang, Mandaue City.
Police identified the fatality as Joseph Timagos, 27, who sustained a stab wound in the right armpit.
The suspect, Gabriel Sy, 18, fled after the attack, PO3 Manuel Baay, investigator of the Centro police, said.
Police said a drunk Sy was causing trouble in the neighborhood at dawn yesterday when Timagos tried to pacify him.
Sy, however, confronted Timagos and stabbed him with a four-inch knife, police said.

POLICE arrested a man allegedly involved in selling firearms in barangay Suba, Danao City, northern Cebu.
Police said Lemuel De Dios Laurante tried to sell four .45 caliber pistols to a poseur-buyer last Tuesday afternoon.

MAN JUMPS INTO CREEK
A MAN reportedly suffering from a nervous breakdown jumped into a creek in barangay Mabolo, Cebu City.
The man, a company driver of an online store, was rescued 30 minutes after he leapt.
A motorist told police that he saw the man running before plunging into the eight-meter deep Mahiga creek.
Residents called the police.
While in the water, the man demanded the presence of the media for him to get out of the water.
The man started waving his hands when media photographers arrived.
Senior Supt. Mariano Natu-el, acting chief of the Cebu City Police , went to the area to assess the situation.
Police eventually convinced the man to get out of the water.
He was later brought to the Mabolo police station.
According to his live-in partner, the man has been suffering from a nervous breakdown.
In an interview, the man admitted that he used illegal drugs last Thursday night.
Police said charges for alarm and scandal could be filed against the man./CORRESPONDENT CHITO O. ARAGON
