MAN MAULED, STABBED IN LAPU

A MAN was stabbed and wounded by his neighbor in Lapu-Lapu City.

Rodelo Tacoloy, 31, was stabbed in the back with an icepick allegedly by Bryan Makan 22, following a fistfight.

Police said the two men came to blows when Tacoloy reprimanded Makan for sitting on a table in a store that the victim was watching.

After the firstfight, Makan went home.

Makan and some unidentified companions later returned to the store and attacked Tacoloy.

MAN, NEPHEW FALL IN BUY-BUST

A MAN and his nephew were arrested by police in a drug buy-bust operation in barangay Looc, Mandaue City on Saturday night.

Edward Zanoria, 42, and Rino Pepito, 20, allegedly sold a pack of suspected shabu to a poseur buyer when they were arrested by police.

Police said 15 more packs of suspected shabu were recovered from the suspects after the arrest.

Police said a boy who was seen in the area where the buy-bust occured was also arrested after a pack containing white crystalline substance was found in his pocket./CORRESPONDENT NORMAN MENDOZA

WOMAN NABBED FOR MASIAO

A WIFE of a councilor in Argao town, southern Cebu was arrested for her alleged involvement in masiao, an illegal numbers game.

Police said Bonifacia “Pacit” Villamora  was caught issuing number combinations at the town’s public market.

Cebu Daily News contacted Villamora but she refused to comment on her arrest.

Villamora is the wife of town councilor Ruben Villamora, said said SPO2 Jaime Mendoza.

According to the investigation, PO1 Manuelito Abrinica and his fellow Argao policemen PO1 Gerald Toquero and PO1 Brian Pableo Yosores went to the market to buy fish.

The policemen were surprised to see Bonifacia openly selling number combinations.

Abrenica posed as a bettor that led to the arrest of the woman.

Police said Bonifacia identified the barangay captain in Panadtaran as his financier.
