La Salle five keeps rolling

/ 08:07 AM August 01, 2011

THE La Salle Green Archers soared to their third straight win as they beat the listless University of the East Red Warriors, 87-63, while the National University Bulldogs upset the Adamson Soaring Falcons, 63-56, in the 74th UAAP basketball tournament yesterday at the Philsports Arena.

After starting the season off with two straight losses, the Green Archers have found their groove and have actually overtaken the idle University of Sto. Tomas Tigers for solo fourth place with their 3-2 (win-loss) record.

DLSU skipper Simon Atkins had a balanced outing with 12 points, six rebounds and five assists. Flashy guard Jarelan Tampus led La Salle with 15 points.
