Fire hits residential block in Poblacion, Makati
MANILA, Philippines—Fire hit a residential block in Makati City Thursday afternoon, destroying a still undetermined number of houses mostly made of light materials, a National Capital Region-Bureau of Fire Protection officer said.
Fire Officer 3 Rowel Guerrero said the fire on Bonifacio Street in Barangay (village) Poblacion in Makati City broke out at 2:05 p.m.
The fire reached Task Force Bravo before it was completely put out at 3:15 p.m.
Meanwhile, Guerrero said no report on casualties or injuries has reached their office as of posting.
The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority-Metrobase said the movement of traffic along JP Rizal-Rockwell will likely be affected due to fire trucks heading towards the location of the fire.
